Information and Collection
Hometown Fitness collects personal information when you send us email; register online for a Hometown Fitness membership, request membership rates, or by submitting any of the other forms on our website which require you to submit basic personal information.
None of the information we collect from you is given, sold or traded to any other companies, advertisers or persons. All information remains in house and is used in future communications with you, including special announcements, promotions and the sending of information you request from Hometown Fitness. We also use the information you submit to use to cross reference and identify current members of Hometown Fitness.
Hometown Fitness may also use software that receives and records information from your browser such as IP address, ISP, browser version, operating system and other information that will enable us to customize the user experience for optimal viewing enjoyment.
The Hometown Fitness website does set cookies on your machine. Certain features such as the online membership feature require that cookies be set in order to complete the registration process. No data or aggregate data collected from the cookies we set are shared with anyone outside of Hometown Fitness, its merchant processor or its software system.
HTML5 Web Storage
The Hometown Fitness website does use HTML5 to store (web pages) data locally within the user’s browser. Web storage is more secure and faster than cookies. The data is stored in key/values pairs, and a web page can only access data stored by itself.
Hometown Fitness may maintain your e-mail address in a database for future correspondence from the company. Your email address will not be sold, traded or given to any parties outside of Hometown Fitness. It’s important that you notify us if you change or modify your e-mail address so that we may continue to communicate important updates, changes or new information regarding Hometown Fitness. If you are not a member of Hometown Fitness, there is no reason to update your e-mail address. It is your responsibility to keep your information updated at all times to avoid problems.
If you contact Hometown Fitness via a form on our website regarding membership or other related services, we may contact you via email or telephone regarding your request. If you do not wish to receive occasional emails from us, you have the right to request that we not contact you.
Hometown Fitness also collects and stores information such as browser type/version, operating system, IP address, referring site, search engine referral, etc., through the use of server logs. Information collected from the server logs is used for internal use only. The data we analyze does not contain any personal identifiable information.
